Following up on the cordial discussion with some Christian on the concept of “herem” in the Bible, here is the first of a few planned video responses to some of their arguments. In this video, I will respond to Luis Dizon’s arguments that 1 Samuel 15 (the Amalekite massacre) proves that “herem” was distinct from “sacrifice”, and thus, that “herem” is not associated whatsoever with human sacrifice.
