As-salaam alaikum. Well, it happened. Sam Shamoun followed through on his threat to publicly challenge me to a debate. He posted his “challenge” on his Facebook account and then ordered his minions to contact me and urge me to accept the challenge. Indeed, I was contacted by a few people, some simply asking if I would accept, while others were more aggressive. So here, I will give my answer, not so much to Shamoun (as he already knows my answer), but to his minions who unquestioningly accept and do everything he says (sounds like a cult, doesn’t it?).
As I have made clear to Shamoun on numerous occasions, I do not do verbal debates. I am a writer, and writing is the medium I choose to express my views and to criticize the views of others. My reason for this is two-fold:
1. In a written debate, each side gets ample time to articulate and properly research the topic. There are no time limits or due dates. Each side can write a response at their leisure. This is not possible in a “verbal” debate, but it is quite possible that one side may bring up an argument that the other side has not had adequate time to research.
Let me give one example. In a conversation that started the Isra debate with Shamoun, he referred to a narration from Ibn Sa’d about the “doors” of the masjid in Jerusalem. You can read my article for more information. At the time, I was unfamiliar with the narration and had to research the background. Once I did that, the answer was clear. These “doors” were the gates surrounding the Temple Mount. Now, if this had been a verbal debate, my response would have been that I am not familiar with the narration and so cannot comment at the moment, and would have to get back to Shamoun on it at another time. What would be the point of that debate, then?
2. In a verbal debate, it is possible for one side to just attempt to overwhelm the other side with numerous issues and then claim “victory” when the other side is unable (at the time) to respond. This is especially true when dealing with a loudmouth like Shamoun.
These are the reasons I do not do verbal debates. A written debate allows both sides to think about the issue, research it, and then publish their views. This is a fair way to debate. It also requires a lot of hard work and effort.
Now as for Shamoun, the reason he is thumping his chest, and going to such extremes to get me to accept his “challenge” is because he is a loudmouth with an enormous ego. I mean the guy even became so obsessed with me as to search for me on Facebook, like some creepy stalker!
If you, his minions, feel that Shamoun is such a “scholar”, then I invite you to read my responses to him with an open mind. Leave your bias at the door and look at his arguments and judge for yourself whether he refuted me or that I refuted him. Now I know that for some of you (the aggressive morons who talk first and think later), reading may not be your strong point. You may also have a very short attention span. If that is the case, my articles will not appeal to you. But for those who want to assess the issue with logic, reason, and fairness, I invite to read the following articles in which I responded to Shamoun’s arguments, and then you can judge who won. Of course, you are entitled to your opinions either way, but you should know that I don’t answer to random people’s requests or demands for a “debate”. I have a life outside of blogging. I do this in my spare time, but it is something I love to do. You don’t get to tell me what I should or should not do.

You are a coward because if you go with verbal debate you will fail to respond to Sam Shamon arguments or his points and this will be embarrassing moment of your life. Leave Sam Shamon I challenged you but you like your coward prophet Muhammad ran. And what about writing who has the time to read your garbage. You don’t have to debate Sam Shamon or Christian Prince publically debate on your channel and you get access to internet. You send your links and so Sam Shamon. Why make excuses. Muslims are Cowards when they meet someone who knows in and out of Islam they will come with tons of excuse. Same with Dr Zakir Naik he says if you can bring 20000 audiences on your sermon he will debate. He knows if he goes online to debate his career is going to end as Jos McDowell ended Ahmed Deedat career. So coward don’t go publically but debate online. Writing response is a child’s play. Be a man of one father not call yourself son of Muta.

According to Christianity, Jesus inspired his people and prophets to use human foreskin that they collected from people that they had killed as currency that could be used to purchase women for wives, among other things (1 Samuel 18:25). Since the New Testmanet nowhere invalidates that practice, does that mean Christians can use foreskin to purchase the next IPhone or Samsung mobile? 🤔

It’s amazing how Shamoun accuses me of “butchering” the scholarly sources when it was clearly him who did that! We saw this in the last article on Al-Isra. This guy basically just looked for the word “mosque” or “masjid” and then concluded on his own that the scholars must mean a “building” even though they clearly said nothing of the sort. A perfect example is Professor Uri Rubin.

Regarding this debate challenge of Sam shamoun I think you need to look at this debate in which he ran away from me in the middle of the debate cuz he couldn’t answer
You should ask him why did you run? And why are you running away from my debate challenge? He should not accuse you of running when he himself is running away this is hypocrisy
