I’ve seen non muslims(mostly atheists and ex muslims) attack the concept of abrogation by comparing it to an editor making corrections to their work. Whats a good response to that line of thinking?

That situations change during the formative years and God added a new rule when they were ready to handle it (seeing as most abrogations become stricter) It’s not a matter of “Oh no what I meant was!” It’s “Alright you were all doing this rule now it’s time for you to…”
