I don’t think this is a valid question, it just came into my mind.
Can we ask this question–> Atharva Veda has hymns for success in gambling, so if two people are participating in gambling and both of them read or recite hymns for success in gambling then who will win and who will lose?
Is there a criteria in hinduism like if you are good then god will accept your wish but if you are bad
your wish won’t be accepted? Apply this criteria in gambling, good person will win after reading hymn and bad person will lose even after reading hymn?

You said how did the hindu know about reincarnation before gita or upanishads.
Can the same thing be said about Ramayana? For example: how did Valmiki knew about what happened during Rama’s time?
And 1 more thing if I remember correctly then maybe valmiki was also in ramayana, sita was taken in by valmiki in his ashram when she was abandoned by Rama.
Ramayana was written by Valmiki 2500-3000 years ago(The epic Ramayana, dated variously from the 5th century BCE to first century BCE, and if I am correct about this BC calculation). Many hindus say that event of ramayana took place more than 5000 years ago, some even say that it happened 10,000 years ago.

It doesn’t makes sense if ramayana was written many many years after the event then how was valmiki in the story?
Doesn’t it proves that Ramayana is false?

      @ Seek Knowledge

      First:

“I am God. There is no god but Me, so worship Me and establish prayer so that you can remember Me.” (20:14)

“All of this, your nation, is one religion, and I am your Lord so worship Me.” (21:92)

“My believing servants! My earth is vast, so only worship Me.” (29:56)

“Your Lord says to you: “Call on Me, I will answer you. Those who are too arrogant to worship Me will enter Hell humiliated.” (40:60)

Anyways…the whole point is asking where does this person whom they claim is God, say he is a god or to worship him. For some odd reason, God (even in the Bible) has no problem introducing who He is and what He wants us to do then all of the sudden He does a complete 180 when He is alleged to have taken the form of a man walking around.

Keep in mind that regardless of the original construction date, the Kaaba has been repaired at least a few times since then. Including during the lifetime of the Prophet Muhammad(S.A.W) if I remember correctly and if I’m wrong on that then someone please correct me. So with that in mind that could be what is meant. Another possibility is that a distinction is simply being made between the Kaaba and other mosques in general.

    Dear Friends,
Please note that Sati is not a part of old scriptures that you are mentioning. Nowhere it is written (in the authentic scriptures) in Vedas about mal treatment of women. In fact in Rig Veda it is clearly mentioned that Women have equal rights. They have equal rights to attend sabhas (assemblies), take decisions (administrative and others), practice professions etc . The authentic Manu smrithi is not available. It has been distorted by brahmins to assert their superiority.

Arya Samaj which has been promoting the real vedic religion also prescribes Sati remarriage! It is a part of Authentic scriptures. I do believe that many of our later scriptures have been re-written and edited for benifiting few people.

That does not mean that the vedic scriptures are faulty. The reality is always not known to everyone. Vedic religion & culture is more than 7000 years old and there is every possibility of distortions…same is true with even Islam. Islam is a well structured and organised religion, no doubt about that. But it has inherent contradictions that are easily visible to every rational person.

The problem is in asserting Islamic superiority over all others! Islam is a very recent phenomena and was born to control the unruly arabs who were ruthless, barbaric and uncivilised. In that respect it is indeed a successful religion. No doubt. Bhagvad Gita mentions about Reincarnation or appearance of a person to correct the evil and re-establish true dharma whenever there is a fall in righteousness.

Prophet Mohammad truly is a person who took birth on this earth to re-establish the true Dharma in the region (Middle east). …To all Muslim Brothers…please note that Hindus and Hindu religion or its authentic scriptures have NO mention of any religion, caste, race, discrimination against any one…NO JEHAD against any religion, NO conversions, NO propagation of religion…….

Our ancient scriptures were written in Sanskrit which is considered superior to any other language even by IT experts. In spite of being rarely used most of the languages have borrowed word from this ancient language….say the words “Navigate” comes from Nav–meaning Boat/ship and Gati-meaning motion. There are innumerable such words……..Mathematics, Astronomy, Medicine, and many more .The words Viman (Aeroplane) were used by ancient Hindus when no body could think of flying crafts!! Bye

In all due respect if something is not available then it is not useful as well. The point of having a divine book is so it can be a means of guidance, not a paperweight.

      2. “…Vedic religion & culture is more than 7000 years old and there is every possibility of distortions…same is true with even Islam. Islam is a well structured and organised religion, no doubt about that. But it has inherent contradictions that are easily visible to every rational person.”

Alright, no problems with big claims but big claims require big evidence so what you got?

      3. “The problem is in asserting Islamic superiority over all others!”

Why not? If something is better it’s better. A Ferrari is better than a Honda just a simple fact.

      4. “Islam is a very recent phenomena and was born to control the unruly arabs who were ruthless, barbaric and uncivilised. In that respect it is indeed a successful religion. No doubt…Prophet Mohammad truly is a person who took birth on this earth to re-establish the true Dharma in the region (Middle east). …”

The first issue here is Islam’s texts clearly state it is meant for the entire world, not just the Arabs. For example, from the Quran:

“How blessed is He who gradually revealed the Standard to His servant, so that he can be a warner to the realms?” (25:1)

“He is the One who has sent His Messenger with guidance and the true religion, to prevail over all religions and ways of life even though those who make others God’s equal hate it.” (9:33)

      5. “To all Muslim Brothers…please note that Hindus and Hindu religion or its authentic scriptures have NO mention of any religion, caste, race, discrimination against any one…NO JEHAD against any religion, NO conversions, NO propagation of religion…”

Except…that’s not true. Summarizing Hindu history from my recent conversation on Hinduism:

Aryans came, killed off a whole bunch of Dravidian natives, wrote the Vedas, introduced their religion, then fused it with a bunch of other beliefs of the natives for thousands of years till what we have Hinduism today. The entirety of the Mahabharata takes place during a war and attempts to justify killing family for worldly power. Finally, if you believe in the restoration of Dharma then you’re not above violence to establish it. So there is nothing wrong with fighting as ALL these false things said against God are what bring the “Dharma” out of whack.

“…If God didn’t check people by using others, many monasteries, churches, synagogues and mosques, where God’s name is constantly called on, would have been destroyed. And God is sure to help those who help His Cause because God is Powerful and the Almighty. They are ones who, if I give them authority in the land, they establish prayer, give charity, encourage what’s right and stop what’s wrong. God owns the outcome of all matters. (22:40-41)\

      6. “Our ancient scriptures were written in Sanskrit which is considered superior to any other language even by IT experts…”

I guess you’ve dropped that whole point about “asserting superiority over all others!”

      7. “In spite of being rarely used most of the languages have borrowed word from this ancient language…”

All linguists will tell you that languages borrow from one another. For example, Sanskrit and ancient Persian (Avestan) are almost identical. Have a listen:

Aryans (the Mitanni) from Syria are the ones who brought the Sanskrit language to India.

Too lazy to elaborate but this is an arya samaji referring to comically inaccurate translations

And besides so wut? Is that supposed to prove hinduism is true?

“Arya Samaj which has been promoting the real vedic religion also prescribes Sati remarriage!”

      lol see?

“It is a part of Authentic scriptures. I do believe that many of our later scriptures have been re-written and edited for benifiting few people.”

Sorry no mention in vedas, so what else does he consider as authentic? I see that he mentions the gita, nothing in it plus its a very “misogynistic” book

“Prophet Mohammad truly is a person who took birth on this earth to re-establish the true Dharma in the region (Middle east). …To all Muslim Brothers…”

Ever had someone whom you don’t wanna be friend with yet he keeps bugging you to meet up

“To all Muslim Brothers…please note that Hindus and Hindu religion or its authentic scriptures have NO mention of any religion, caste, race, discrimination against any one…NO JEHAD against any religion, NO conversions, NO propagation of religion…….”

lol ok…. even the vedas are filled with references of wars against unbelievers simply for being unbelievers

Rig Veda 10.105.8 Grind off our sins: with song will we conquer the men who sing no hymns: Not easily art thou pleased with prayerless sacrifice.

Rig Veda 6.14.3 “Adorable Lord takes manifold treasures of disbelievers for the preservation of the worshippers. Faithful devotees triumph over wicked and unrighteous and humble him who does not abide by the prescribed conduct of life”

I can go on and I’m almost certain Arya samaji translations of those is riddled with stuff not found in the sanskrit so as to change the whole meaning to fit their interpretation

“Our ancient scriptures were written in Sanskrit which is considered superior to any other language even by IT experts”

irrespective of how much someone likes sanskrit, why on earth would someone take the opinion of an IT expert over linguistics…

Can you explain this please because I think there is only one verse in Gita which says women are of lower birth but Hindus have refuted that verse–>

It all comes down to interpretation dear readers.

māṁ hi pārtha vyapāśritya ye’pi syuḥ pāpa-yonayaḥ |

        striyo vaiśyās-tathā śūdrās-te’pi yānti parāṁ gatim || 32 ||

9:32. By taking refuge in Me even those of unfavourable birth, women, vaiśyas and also śūdras attain the supreme state.

Please note that “unfavourable birth” comes at the end of the first line. Then the next line mentions women, vaishyas and sudras.

It is quite plain that four categories of people are being spoken about. “Unfavourable birth” is not a logical qualifier of the other three since there is no experiential evidence to confirm this.

The actual word used is pāpā-yonayaḥ – meaning those who are born into adverse circumstances in which their manner of living involves causing suffering to living beings. Generally refers to those outside of the Aryan community whatever their status be i.e. rākṣasa, asuras and various others.

While focusing on one single aspect of this sloka (humans have a natural negativity bias) the overall meaning is being neglected.

ofc, it’s common knowledge that sanskrit is translated contextually via interpretation

Uhhh so are shudras perpetually accentuated in multiple texts of being of lowly birth………?

Quite an odd thing to say, plus i’d like to see examples of his claim

        3. So you have a verse speaking about papa yonis in which shudras fully fits the description then why are shudras mentioned separately later? why not say “papa yonis, women and vaish”? unless contextually papa yoni has more of a general meaning being applied to the 3 following subsets. This shows Shankaracharya is not an amateur for his translation of the parallel verse in the mahabharata.

        4. Why out of all the castes two of the lowest are mentioned along women? The parallel in the srimad bhagvatam exacerbates it, it mentions animals and other impure entities, why not brahmans and kshatriyas?

    @quranandbibleblog

So was going through your Twitter here:

And since I loath Twitter as you can’t have a real discussion (especially on complex topics) I wanted a penny for your thoughts. What forms of restriction are you proposing because right now I can’t think of anything that would have prevented the acquisition of the firearms. IMO the problems were as follows were:

    1. Crazy Gunmen- Piece of sh!t and make dua he is getting the full force of Allah’s athab. With that being said, crazy people are going to do crazy they just get more creative. Case in point dude who drove van into a crowd.

    2. No locks or lax security- There was no reason for the school to be open for someone to just walk in. Unfortunately when it comes to security people become complacent. You can have the best locks, security etc in the world but if people get lazy it means nothing. So whoever was responsible here needs to be terminated.

    3. The first responders- Known active shooter doctrine is first on the scene kills the shooter. Those cops are straight-up pu$$ies. First, one who arrived BEFORE he got into the school is the biggest to blame followed by the 7 who he shot at when they attempted a breach. Like disgraced Samurai please go kill yourselves.

    4. The rest of the police- That ol’ “we thought it was a barricaded subject” is straight BS as they heard gunshots still firing. Who was he shooting at? The moon? Also, if that was the case why did some police evacuate their children then if he was secure in a room and they were evacuating? Finally, who thought it was a good idea to tase and pepper spray panicking parents? There are times and places to defy orders and this was DEFINITELY a time. Again ones who restrained “ahhh….” but the ones who tased and pepper-sprayed (even though they won’t) need to be terminated.

Again that is my initial assessment now that they have finally worked out their “official story” but maybe you see something different that I don’t.

        Mr HINDU SAID :
Come on read quran first properly. Quran itself say worship Krishna

Quran says Allah has separated heaven from earth and fix it above the sky and Allah throne is above water

Vedas says Vishnu has separated heaven from earth and fixes it above sky and Vishnu throne is also above water. And Vishnu is none other than Krishna himself

You must remember each universe has presided over by his own Brahma , vishnu and shiva. And each universe came from Maha vishnu and maha vishnu came from narayana. Narayana is original and he is beyond form and formless and has no image and no son and he himself is light of light and his face is covered by veil of light.
That Narayana is also called Brahman, purusha, krishna and shiva.

        2) Hindu said that Heaven is mentioned in Vedas but life in Heaven will not be eternal and after enjoying in heaven a person will be reborn. Is this true?

when the shepherds of black camels start boasting and competing with others in the construction of higher buildings.”
    Sahih al-Bukhari 50, https://sunnah.com/bukhari:50

I have a question. The Arabs read this prophecy in a hadith and started constructing the buildings(it doesn’t matters how much year they took to accomplish this, they may have read this prophecy 100,200,300 or400 years ago and decided ‘when we will have money we will construct buildings’ ) in order to fulfill the prophecy?

By the way did you guys saw my comment in recommended reading section?

      @Mr. Love

      1. Regarding the “tall buildings” prophecy most ulema had interpreted it to mean poor people living among their means and that it had already been fulfilled. With recent events, they kinda just did them because they thought it would be grand,

      2. Because that is the language of the people whom the Prophet (ﷺ) first preached to. Examples from the Quran:

“And if I had sent the Qur’an in a foreign language, they would’ve said: “Its verses are not explained properly, we can’t understand any of it.” Or “What a non-Arabic tongue to an Arab?”…” (41:44)

“A.L.R. These are the verses of the Book that makes things clear. I have sent it down as an Arabic recital so that you can understand.” (12:1-2)

“And so I have sent this down, ˹as˺ an Arabic Recital, and explained the warnings in it, in various ways, so that they might take heed or cause them to remember.” (20:113)

“This is a revelation coming gradually from the Lord of the realms. Which the trustworthy Spirit has brought down, onto your heart, so that you can be a warner, in clear Arabic speech.” (26:192-195)

Also, when Allah sends signs He sometimes does what the nation specializes in but does it better. For example Musa(as) and magicians. The magicians did play magic and when they saw the staff turn into a real snake they knew he wasn’t faking it. The Arabs prided themselves on poetry and eloquence so the Quran se4rved as a contrast that the Prophet also wasn’t faking it.

Just because something is sent for all nations doesn’t mean there aren’t times when the initial nation has to be addressed. The Prophet (ﷺ) is a man walking around in Arabia, they are the first group that is having initial contact so boom here’s proof to you all he’s good, moving on to the rest of you, etc.

As for other people, there’s a variety of arguments and reasons hence why they converted, to begin with.

Saw an interesting thing about Suleiman(as) I found on Wikipedia while falling down the internet rabbit hole:

    “Wives and concubines

King Solomon with his wives. Illustrated in 1668 by Giovanni Battista Venanzi.
According to the biblical account, Solomon had 700 wives and 300 concubines.[32] The wives were described as foreign princesses, including Pharaoh’s daughter[33] and women of Moab, Ammon, Edom, Sidon and of the Hittites. His marriage to Pharaoh’s daughter appears to have cemented a political alliance with Egypt, whereas he clung to his other wives and concubines “in love”.[34][35] The only wife mentioned by name is Naamah the Ammonite, mother of Solomon’s successor, Rehoboam.

The biblical narrative notes with disapproval that Solomon permitted his foreign wives to import their national deities, building temples to Ashtoreth and Milcom.[36]

In the branch of literary analysis that examines the Bible, called higher criticism, the story of Solomon falling into idolatry by the influence of Pharaoh’s daughter and his other foreign wives is “customarily seen as the handiwork of the ‘deuteronomistic historian(s)'”, who are held to have written, compiled, or edited texts to legitimize the reforms of Hezekiah’s great-grandson, King Josiah who reigned from about 641 to 609 BCE (over 280 years after Solomon’s death according to Bible scholars).[37] Scholarly consensus in this field holds that “Solomon’s wives/women were introduced in the ‘Josianic’ (customarily Dtr) edition of Kings as a theological construct to blame the schism [between Judah and the Northern Kingdom of Israel] on his misdeeds”.[37]”

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solomon

Please see why I called them corrupt and disobedient…

12:45 Why Quran is in Arabic?

When Allah sends signs He sometimes does what the nation specializes in but does it better. For example Moses(pbuh) and magicians. The magicians did play magic and when they saw the staff turn into a real snake they knew he wasn’t faking it. The Arabs prided themselves on poetry and eloquence so the Quran served as a contrast that the Prophet also wasn’t faking it.

Same thing can be said for your bible, moreover your bible was written many years after the ascension ofJesus(pbuh). It even contains many contradictions in it. If Bible is the word of God then God’s work should be free of doubts you agree? 2. Simple answer to a simple question by a retarded kaffir is that men may get aroused seeing a female but he gets MORE aroused seeing one with revealing clothing which is why the probability of rape is higher, hijab and covering isn’t an all encompassing solution, rape may still happen but it does decrease the probability significantly, kinda like a mask for COVID

I want to ask where can I know more about Hindu scriptures? for example about their different versions and diff-diff manuscripts, many versions of same story, proofs against their authenticity, etc.

    1 More thing
In vedas it is written that god made brahmins from head, kshtrias(warrior caste) from chest, vaishya(business class) from thighs and shudra(low caste) from feet. So a hindu told me
‘ it’s simply referring to Symbolic example…Rig Veda it self says these symbolic examples .Head is Symbolic to Intellgence / Wisdom / Knowledge and Leg symbolic to Hard work/ to Labour …and Rigveda also says goal of Transcendtalists is to achieve Lotus Feet of Lord ..so as per Vedas God is Absolute there is no difference between his Face and Feet … Ordinary Human beings due to conditioning see thing’s as Low or High but God being Absolute Platform there is no difference between these’.

    Is this paragraph true?

On caste system and Purusha Shukta.
Purusha Sukta is said to be the root of caste system in Hinduism, it is mentioned in Veda,
Rig Veda 10.90.12 ‘The Brahman was his mouth, of both his arms was the Rājanya
made. His thighs became the Vaiśya, from his feet the Śūdra was produced.’

He said caste system is not a part of Hinduism and mentioned the above paragraph.

      1. why does the yajur veda forbid shudras from performing sacrifices?

      2. Why does the atharveda allow a brahmin to override a marriage contract and take the woman if her husband/ husbands are non brahmins?

      3. Why do casteist distinctions exists in other places of the vedas in the first place.

”You also wanted to know about original texts. Well, despite Ganesha writing down the Mahabharata, writing is not the primary way the Ramayana and Mahabharata were passed down; like the Vedas they were initially passed down via oral tradition, and only passed down in written form much later. So we don’t really have “original texts” in that sense. But if you want to read them in the original Sanskrit, you can read the Ramayana here and the Mahabharata here.”

Is it true that there are more than 1000 manuscripts of mahabharata and they have differences in them or they contradict each other?

      Summing up quickly

      1. No difference of opinion children of Muslim parents go to Jannah

      2. Difference regarding children of non Muslims (not using all evidence for each position just summarizing)

      A. Not giving an opinion
      Always a safe bet

      B. They go to Hell
It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said:

“The Messenger of Allah was asked about the children of the idolators and he said: ‘Allah knows best what they would have done.”‘

Salamah ibn Qays al-Ashja’i said: my brother and I came to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) and said that our mother had died during the Jaahiliyyah, and that she had honoured her guests and upheld the ties of kinship, but that she had buried alive a sister of ours during the Jaahiliyyah who had not reached the age of puberty. He said: the one who was buried and the one who buried her are in Hell, unless Islam reached the one who buried the child alive and she became Muslim.

      C. They are servants of the people of Jannah
It was narrated that Salmaan (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: The children of the mushrikeen are the servants of the people of Paradise.

However as a note some Sahaba were of the opinion this was Muslim children:

It was narrated from ‘Ali ibn Abi Taalib (may Allaah be pleased with him) and al-Hasan al-Basri that what is meant by these boys is the children of the Muslims who died in infancy
      No evidence

      D. They are tested
We do not give punishment until we send a messenger.”

      And:

“[…] Your Lord does not destroy cities while their inhabitants are unaware.”

      They also use the hadith:

“Four will stand trial on the Day of Judgement. A deaf man, a retarded man, a senile man, and one who died in an interval period between Prophets. The deaf man will say: ‘My Lord, Islām came while I could not hear anything.’ The retarded man will say: ‘My Lord! Islām came while small children hurled muck at me.’ A senile man will say: ‘My Lord! Islām came while I could not understand anything.’ Regarding one who passed away during an interval time, he will say: ‘My Lord! No messenger came to me.’ Allāh will accept their pleas. In order to establish their obedience, he will send a messenger who will tell them to enter the Fire. Whoever enters will find coolness and safety. And whoever does not will be placed in it.”

      E. They go to Jannah

The hadeeth of Samurah (may Allaah be pleased with him), that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) saw the children of the Muslims and the children of the Mushrikeen with Ibraaheem (peace be upon him). Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 6640.

Hasnaa’ bint Mu’aawiyyah from Bani Suraym said: my paternal uncle told me: I said, O Messenger of Allaah, who will be in Paradise? He said: Prophets will be in Paradise, martyrs will be in Paradise, infants will be in Paradise and baby girls who were buried alive will be in Paradise. Narrated by Imaam Ahmad, 5/409; classed as da’eef by al-Albaani in Da’eef al-Jaami’, 5997.

How they reconcile is the hadith Allah knows best what they would have done was before their status was revealed. Like for example the punishment of the grave.

The buried girl didn’t do anything and never heard of Islam so why Hell?

Ah that’s a relief. I was actually worried I came off as combative. Tone of voice can be really hard to measure with text and especially on the internet.

I’m not sure if this is a correct interpretation to espouse but it seems that to me at least in the most famous examples of hadith used to support the view that children can possibly enter hellfire the Prophet Muhammad(s.a.w) while clearly implying the possiblity, never actually says anything that would be considered confirmation. Such that if someone was to favor the view that he(s.a.w) said these things before it was revealed to be in fact the opposite(that all infants and very young children enter paradise) it would not be as if he(s.a.w) made statements that were “not true” or “invalid”

        For example the hadith

““The Messenger of Allah was asked about the children of the idolators and he said: ‘Allah knows best what they would have done.”

as well as the hadith with A’isha(ra)

“A’isha, the mother of the believers, reported that a child died and I said: There is happiness for this child who is a bird from amongst the birds of Paradise. Thereupon Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) said: Don’t you know that Allah created the Paradise and He created the Hell and He created the dwellers for this (Paradise) and the denizens for this (Hell)?”

Both contain the objectively true statements of “Allah knows best what they would have done.” and that Allah(swt) created paradise, hell and the denizens of both. These things are true regardless of whether the implication of children possibly entering hellfire is true or not.

There is the hadith of there being four kinds of people on the Day of Resurrection that will be tested tho as far as I can tell the versions either have a deaf man or an infant as one of the four with the other three being the same. I’m by no means a hadith scholar so I can’t comment on whats going on there.

Again don’t know how valid that line of thinking is just something I can’t help but notice whenever this topic pops up.

Btw sorry if I take awhile to reply since for some reason lately I’m not getting any notifications of interactions at all.

No problem wasn’t offended or anything like that. As for what you said I kinda agree which iz why I am personally more sympathetic to the “not revealed yet” opinion as he (ﷺ) doesn’t sound nearly as confident starting things in those ahadith and is erring on the side of caution in his (ﷺ) statement so he doesn’t say something untrue about his (ﷺ)Lord. For example Aisha(ra) said the child was a bird of paradise and he (ﷺ) to me was kinda… ehhhhh…maybe? But when you look at the ahadith of children in Jannah he (ﷺ) confidently states they are in Jannah. As for the tested hadith I think a narrator made a mistake because there are 2 different versions and this one clearly contradicts other ahadith establishing them being in Jannah. To be fair however the ulama, who take the tested position basically say some children are in hell for what they would have grown up to be while others in Jannah but I personally find it a stretch but Allah hu alim.

Philosophically speaking dharmic religions are often without basis and full of assumptions that you barely need a website or any materials to refute them take concept of being one with brahma for example, it clearly doesn’t make philosophical sense for us imperfect beings to be part of something perfect and that’s literally the core of Hinduism being refuted right there.

@Dad can you please provide reference for
”Demi gods? Even Shiv falls for sins in his divine form, so does Vishnu…there are stories of both of them indulging in rape”
And what do you mean by divine form?

xtian missionaries who are the scum of this earth say that prophet muhammad pbuh received revelation from the devil because of his reaction and bewilderment .

imagine now we are to ask about false jesus from the new testament and compare him to other miracle workers. what would you say ? did other miracle workers followers also doubt and forsake their leader?

    lets quote :

I’d say yes, absolutely. Most miracles stories about a great miracle worker stress that his *followers* completely believed, even if outsiders were not always persuaded.

You make a good point, one that I never thought of before. I would think that after spending 2 or 3 years with someone and they showed up at my door after 3 days, I would recognize them right away. I would be in shock but I wouldn’t doubt who they were. Are the gospels alluding to the fact that Jesus’ appearance must have somehow changed? And that’s why they’re having doubts? Could it be that some other person was walking around masquerading as the risen Christ?

A hindu provided refutation of mohini and shiva

The complete story is, mahishi, the sister of Mahishsur was given boon by Goddess Durga that nobody else other than the child of Shiva and Vishnu, could kill her. Realising that two men can not bear a child, she thought herself to be invincible and thus wreaked havoc over the humans and devas in the name of revenge for the death of his brother Mahishasur.
Thus, as per the supreme instructions of par-brahm, of whom Brahm, vishnu and mahesh(shiva) are the representatives, Vishnu took the form of Mohini. So that, Lord Shiva and Mohini could bear the child, named as Lord Ayyapan, a very famous lord worshipped in South India. He was the one who could manage to kill Mahishi, the demoness.

    Is this refutation correct?

Also why do you think that’s a proper refutation when a cursory reading of the reference I sent you easily refuted it

      1) The story makes it clear that Mohini was unwilling yet shiva forcefully embraced her and chased her and there is no mention of consensual sex

      2) The story also makes it seem like Shiva was committing adultery as the anger of his wife and the immorality of doing this in front of his wife is emphasized, the key sanskrit word to note is “despite”.

      3) Also as mentioned in the text, Shiva who was in his all powerful infinite omnipotent form couldn’t resist lust, I mean do I really need to write a paragraph on how irrational that is.

      1. For the sake of argument let’s go by what he said, there’s still a lot of issues in the way that things were done, so vishnu took his female form and Idk maybe being mohini made him medically schizophrenic? Coz why on earth would she all of a sudden change her mind and be unwilling to have sex? Vishnu while being Mohini was still all powerful mind you, it wasn’t an avatar it was just another form so what happened? And that still doesn’t change the fact that rape happened and also an omnipotent god forcing himself on another omnipotent god (however contradicting and ridiculous that may sound) huh idk what else to say about that one it speaks for itself
